Don’t think much!!
Well I am actually thinking now to come up with something on this present topic! :D
Seeing the world through my half vision (my left eye is bandaged since yesterday) has actually helped me to slow down my racing mind. Only the things on my right are bothering me now, making me to think of all the useless stuff and write this article. :p
But seriously one of the mantras for having a peaceful and happy living, with all the people you like, love, hate, ignore is to not think much.
Be it about the exam paper you are going to face tomorrow or how your results will turn out or the reason behind your friend being too harsh on you or your enemy being too sweet!
Just experience the moment, don’t try to dig in much. Don’t start looking at the simple things through all 360 degrees angle and find some your own stupid, illogical theory or reason for the things happening.
We don’t actually know the opposite person’s view, concept. It is better to give them time to speak up rather than putting our idle mind into it and worrying about the results procured by it.
If I am not wrong many among us do spend good amount of time on this ‘O God! Why me?’. Out of this billion people, why things happen only to me?! Even I think the same a lot many times. Anytime when something goes out of way, this thing pops up in my brain and I start sympathizing with myself, why only ‘me’ on this whole stupid planet!
But lately I have realized that every story has its own twists, turns and surprises. The person beside you, behind you, in front of you, the person whose existence you are not aware of, has his own unique story to tell. Even they face situations which make them question ‘why me?!’
So nothing new or unique, extra ordinary thing will happen to us. Of all the innumerable planet earthlings someone has already been through it and someone is waiting for his chance to arrive. The only thing which separates these three is how they react to the same situation!
To react, you have to stop thinking on this ‘y me’ thing and turn it to ‘oh! It is me’. Thinking on this ‘y me’ will give you nothing cause GOD isn’t going to appear from nowhere to answer that. Neither will you be satisfied by the answers you get from the others.
Similarly don’t think much about people’s intentions behind the things they do. I heard about this at the ‘Art Of Living’ program. And it has greatly helped me to control my racing mind and concentrate on other useful things than spending hours together making up my own theory for the actions of others.
Guess I can keep on writing on this topic at any length, but if you didn’t get the point I am trying to make till now, I am afraid you will not understand it even if I add some 100 odd more lines to this! :P before I sign off here are few lines from a famous song which conveys the same point im trying to make here.
Cry, cry itna cry karthe hain kaiko?
Itna darte hain kaiko?
Pal pal marte kaiko?
Why why aisa why?
Waisa kyun hota?
Yun hota toh kya hota??
Jo hota hain who hota….
Rote kaiko hum ha..rote kaiko hum..
Hona hain jo ho sad hote kaiko hum… :D
And this one’s from my own pages!
Y me!?
Of all y me?
But of all Y it has to be Me!?
Mean, wicked, selfish, glee..
So many to choose from but its still me!
May be Lords’ testing out something new..
And of all, the reason for choosing me if I could knew!
Let me check how far He tests me.
If I am his choice, some purpose there must surely be!
I bet, this makes me something special from the rest,
And its time for me to give my best!
So no longer I say ‘y me!’
cause
of all finally ‘its me!!’ ;)
cheers!! :D
so to sum up….
in hindi ‘zyada mat socho’
in telugu ‘ekuv alochinchakandi’
in English ‘don’t think much dude!’ ;)
let the things unfold at the pace they are supposed to.
