Routine day…browsing
on fb..
On the right
side of the page there is a sponsored link..Usually it is of some online shopping
site or some other wedding photography wala stuff..but this time it’s
different, which grabbed my attention, not instantly though! :P
It said “who will you marry?? This is so
accurate it’s scary!!”
The scary
word pulled my attention. Marriage is a scary thing so that obviously makes
this revelation a lot more scary. So I clicked on the link and I was taken to a
website.
Half of the webpage was covered with a picture of a middle aged woman, who was all glammed up and
the site boasted that this lady is among the world’s top 5 greatest psychics.( However,
from the picture she looked more of some bollywood vamp, that too not the main
one but like the side ones, with her heavy makeup done just minutes before!)
Ok so I got a
bit more interested looking at digit ‘5’ and words ‘World’s Greatest’, but
before disclosing the scary part of my life, I wanted to get some more
information about this lady. I went through the testimonials of some previous users of the site.
All of them
were full of praises for this ‘psychic’. That all she had predicted has come
true, that they will be indebted to her
all their life. She has given them a reason to live etc etc
Next I read
her intro which said that at age of 8 she was operated for appendicectomy and
due to some complications she later slipped into coma. And for about 3 days she
was in that state and during this period she saw divine light which said that
she possessed divine powers and through which she has to help the less fortune..
blah blah..(it asked her to charge her services ;) and get some of it to the
heaven later when she actually dies :P )
I was finally ready to know my scary truth.(all
my crushes’ faces flashed in front my eyes, I was wondering which one this
psych will pick! ;) ) The site asked me for my name. I gave a fake one. Later it
asked my date of birth, but to my surprise, the year I was born was not in the provided options there. it seemed her powers are limited only to
people older than me. Again I typed in a fake birth year and fake date too.. Feb.
31st.. and the rest all was crap..
You give any
problem or click any option the response will be same that we are going through
very bad phase and only this lady can save you from all your problems etc etc
If u deny any
of her help the response comes as “my help has done wonders, you cannot imagine
what my friendship can do to you!” (don’t go, come back, you don’t realize what
you are missing out ; just like second
heroines of our movies :P )
For a while, I
got a bit scared reading that one.
I went into
more research and googled her name. The first link was from ‘pissedconsumers’
site.
A young girl
shared her woes here, how she got fooled
by this all time greatest psychic of the world.
This girl
seemed to have gone through major depression in her life, as she was easily tricked to consider the psychic’s supernatural powers, which promised her to get back her lost love with the help of black magic!! (Wonder which GOD has
taught our psychic this art of black magic, that too in her coma state. o_O )
After a lot of senseless counseling and
promises and service charges, this girl was asked to take a flight immediately
along with her deranged bf to some place in California! To which this girl denied. Nevertheless, now
this psychic woman threatened this poor girl that she will use her black magic
against her if she does not do accordingly.
That girl had
already paid some good amount for that psychic service, now she
was asked to shell out even more bucks. She has also shared some of her private
information with that psych hoping that it will help her to get right answers.,
but later the psych used it to black mail her!
Well this young consumer finally got through all
this shit and saved her money, a little late though! ( this girl didn't have any black money for the black magic, so the black mailing trick too automatically got white washed :P)
Reading all
this I was bit puzzled. It seemed like you are troubled , so you are
buying some more of it and again you are
paying even more to get rid of this new self invited trouble! complicated ha?
( Even more
surprising was that below this girl's complaint the very first comment was by some
another spiritual psychic, who boasted of having 50yrs experience and was
inviting her to come under his blessing as he is going to provide solutions to
all her problems. his lines sounded real funny! ‘I will tell you your past,
present, and future without you saying one word I will leave you in shock!’ [Guess this old man had real expertise in
giving shocks! :P] )
As I don’t like
to leave anything unfinished I again went to that greatest, toppest psychic of
this world’s site. (or say I wasted half n hour or so on this stupid site and was interested
in wasting some more of my precious time :P )
At the bottom
of the page I found “general terms and conditions for the users” link.
Which said
that this lady’s knowledge isn’t certified by any university as such and the
payable help is being provided only on the basis of morals and some
professional charter!
I don’t want
to go into any more details. its obvious, its useless .
well I know I
might have wasted my time and even yours. (mine by writing this, yours by making
you read this :D) but I wouldn’t have clicked on this link if it wasn’t on fb,
second was the declaration as the world’s greatest psychic ever and third was
to know my life’s scary truth ;) !
Nevertheless what I
got to know is, there are several ways
to cheat us in the name of God. some
make us believe that they are going to teach us the essence of our holy books ,
ask us to shell out our hard earned money, not just once but every time you
want to listen to them. Some say they possess divine powers, with future insight,
which will free us from all problems.( we will be charged for all this though!
Either the so-called
baba/mata fools you or if they are decent enough, their disciples will fool
you. Any way you go, you are doomed to be fooled either at emotional or
financial level.
When in the present day the existence
of God itself is in doubt, how the hell can anyone trust such con baba/mata who
proclaim themselves as supreme powers! ( wonder which god helps them to fix
their service charges :-$ :-! )
In India many
of us want to get things done without doing anything, or by putting minimum
efforts. All of us want easy solutions to most difficult problems. we want someone else to find answers for us,
and we are ready to follow them blindly. eat when they ask us to, sleep only
after their word, speak only with their permission. (self experience I didn’t utter a single word for 3 continuous days, wasn’t supposed to even
self-talk, this was supposed to help me learn the art of living! i might have been utterly dumb to not experience the enlightenment through silence, my fault. What disturbed me was, i paid a good amount to know a "moola mantra", which is like unique to everyone but i was told in case i forget that mantra i have to pay again the same amount to re-know that same old mantra! this didn't make sense to me. it looked more of poker game than any spiritual process )
all these
senseless, stupid things done by us has led to the rise of such fake, power
loving gurus,babas,matas etc whatever you may address them as. These people have no answers to their own
questions how can they solve others’ problems??
Some genuine spiritual gurus are still there I don’t deny, but they too can just show us the right way, ultimately its we who have to lead our journey and find
our answers.
And the most
simple solution for all our troubles is..
“To use the
thing, which is being safely protected by our skull bone!"
Try using it, no use of protecting something that is not of any use! Right? o-O :-/
