is there a god?? for real??
Well I was a ardent devotee, chanting all mantras,
reading not many but few scriptures. God fearing. thinking he is watching
everything and with a very strong feeling that everything happens only by his
wish(some even say that even a tiny thing like swaying of a leaf due to wind is
also pre-determined by the heavenly god)
However, if there is a god for real then I bet he must
have been the most horrible human I ever met if any time he took a human form
again.
Mentally unstable, selfish, hypocrite, power loving..ditto
like our Indian politicians.
It is too difficult to understand him. He punishes when the time comes they say. All the suffering people are going through is a way of teaching them a lesson for their wrong doings.
And that “paap ka ghada bharne par use shiksha milegi”
which literally means a person can commit ‘n’ number of crimes until his pot of
wrong doings fills up and only then he will be punished. bizarre!
You have to keep fast, chant mantras, go to the temples
etc etc for good things to happen and avoid the bad from occurring!
Moreover, they say god is watching everything!
He must be insane then watching things
without acting at the right time!!
I sometimes picture him sitting in the
heaven, watching this world on his personal television. One channel shows how
he is being worshiped by scores of people in different ways, the next shows
the nature’s fury..earthquakes, floods to name few, switching to next channel
he sees a farmer working ardently in his fields, next channel shows a young man
spending his father’s money at a night bar, the next channel shows a young girl
being brutally gang raped, a mother being killed by his son, a newborn being
thrown in waste bin coz she is a girl..and the list of his channels is never
ending.
So he just sits comfortably watching everything from up
above waiting for the right time to act and pay us for all our deeds.
Meanwhile the poor get totally exploited by the rich, a
serial killer thrashes as many he can until he is exhausted, a so called God
man sexually assaults as many girls he can, all kind of worst things happen to
person who always minded his own business without harming anyone.
Many such things keep happening, but God is
still waiting for the right time..until a gang raped girl breaths out her last
breath, a farmer hangs himself as his hard work doesn’t seem to pay him any
good, the politicians keep fooling as many people as they can.
So on and on.
So it is somewhat clear that if there is a God, then he
is really bad at is work. And he needs to be replaced at the earliest.
Surely there must be some supreme power though. Some force. Which
is behind the things occurring in the universe! Which is pure science. Nevertheless, these
religions, idol worships, holy scriptures etc are just hoax. They are not
helping many.
What we actually need at this hour is to strengthen our
conscience, make it pure rather than spending time in remembering all those holy
verses, going to all divine places, fasting etc.
If a religion cannot stop a person from killing his
fellow beings, making him partial to one group, deceiving others, then I bet we
are better without such thing.
(animals who have no religion are more human than the present day man. and the humans are turning out to be religious animals! Ironic! eh??)
To sum it up, people are more kind of using religion to
their own benefit. They are exploiting the faith many hold on god.
But the thing which is worth realizing is that knowing
different holy verses for different gods isn’t going to guarantee that everything
good will happen to us. Keeping fast will never increase any one’s life. A good conscience will be suffice than praying
to different gods. In addition, no one is watching over us, we have to fight
our own battle. We cannot just leave anything to the will of some one whose existence
is still in doubt! (age old dialogue ‘sab bhagwan pe chod do’ is the biggest
lie)
Things happen. To say shit happens. But that shouldn’t
stop us from living, having hope for good. We need to stop depending on others
and take our life into our control. Miracles do happen. Only by our action, not
by sitting at home reading scriptures and leaving everything on God.
