In a nutshell, Chinese Yin Yang symbols represent perfect balance. Seemingly, the whole of
Chinese philosophy stems from the concept of Yin and Yang - opposites interacting and
supposedly the seed of all things. For example, evil results from an imbalance in Yin and
Yang, and good comes from the two being in harmonic balance. This symbol
represents the primal opposing but complementary forces found in all things in the
universe.
The above is what google offers you when you search for the meaning of yin-yang tattoo.
As far as i am concerned this tattoo signifies that..
- I do keep a track of my crazy teenage wishes and have enough guts to make them happen, at least a few.
- I do not mind being the odd one out in the crowd I move along with.
- I can manage those confused staring looks i get from known and unknown people alike, when they happen to look at my wrist! ( I had a minor bike accident around the same time I got my tattoo done, most of my friends where more worried about my tattoo rather than the wounds I endured. And in one incident a hospital nurse thought it to be a reaction to some medical test i had taken for some disease! )
- I am going to have a real interesting time explaining about my tattoo to my Professors at work place and my future in laws!
- Finally, that I do end up taking few decisions which put me in great wonder later. A proof that the little craziness in me is still alive, of which I am proud of! ;)
cheers!
