Not so long ago
Seen this girl..
Weirdo kind
not the usual ones
she had a smile..

Not that unique..

Yet it managed to pull..

felt some connection
didn’t bother to express though
waiting for the right time
for her to show some sign

hesitated to proceed..
Make a move
Gave some time..
 

what if she rejects
cant take that..
being precise my ego wouldn’t take that

was I ready to lose her?
Not sure
time passed..so did the days
finally got the courage
spoke to her
in no time we were good friends
just friends though

coz someone took his feelings more serious than I
he confessed before, even before the very idea came in to my mind
 

I have none to blame
not even self
I just took my time..
Time which cost me a lot
And destiny had to play its part

Am not the one to say if the other guy isn't good for her or not
but may be she would have been more happy

if she was not with him, but me

can’t blame her either
ain’t I a fool to expect her to wait for me
when she wasn’t aware of things going on with me

though my feelings for her wouldn’t change
the few memories we shared together don’t seem to fade
nothing lessens the pain that she belongs to someone else not me

may be my love wasn't true enough
she obviously deserved someone better than me

didn’t care to voice my feelings
didn’t put my best efforts
now can’t make any changes in the past
and life goes on
days pass and again..
