Soulmate

You'll move on
Just like others
You'll fall in love again
With a new laugh
With silliness of someone else
By the ways they lighten up your life
The way they make you forget the time

And once in a while I may cross your mind
Unexpectedly, on dusting up the old memories
As my memories flash by,
There may be a faint smile across your face
Or no expression at all

But quickly oldies will be brushed aside.
Her chatter will bring you back to present
The melody of her voice will soothe your past wounds
You'll be loved this time
No more of unrequited love
She will be all yours
You can call her 'mine'.
Make love to her
Pour your heart out, though broken
You can take her into your arms
And for once, whole of your world will come into your grasp.
A tear of happiness may roll out of your eye
Or a tear of sadness as my memories interrupt you again.

But her love will be too vast to hold it in your arms
Too strong to be weaken by the unfulfilled dreams and wishes of past.
You'll realise how stupid you were,
To think that love wouldn't knock your door again.

You let out a breath of relief
Hug her tight..
Grasp hold of your world again..
No more trembling of knees, no pounding of heart
As peace fills you up..

And finally your soul will meet its soulmate..
